Account and data deletion

You can request that your Verba account and associated personal data be deleted. Verba is provided by Samelink.
Steps to request account deletion
1. In the Verba app: Open Account (or Profile / Settings), then use the Delete account or Request account deletion option if available, and follow the on-screen steps; or
2. By email: Send an email to verba.hello@gmail.com from the email address linked to your Verba account. Use the subject line Request to delete my Verba account and include the email address you use to sign in. We will process your request and confirm once your account and data have been deleted.
We will process deletion requests within 30 days of receiving a valid request.

Data we delete when you request account deletion
When we delete your account, we delete or anonymize the following data associated with your Verba account:
• Your account information (email, name, profile)
• Your translation and recording history (saved in our systems)
• App usage and preference data linked to your account
• Device identifiers we store for your account

Data we may keep (and why)
We may retain the following where required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
• Subscription and payment records (e.g. purchase history, subscription status) for the period required by tax and consumer law or by our payment provider (Paddle). This does not include your full payment card number.
• Anonymized or aggregated data that can no longer be linked to you.
